Miscellaneous Heart Rate Monitor

There are a number of smaller heart rate monitor (HRM) manufacturers and brands. They either cover a certain niche or they have only one or two models in their entire range.

Mark of Fitness

Mark of Fitness makes various medical and healthcare products including thermometers, blood pressure monitors and the MF-180 HRM. It is a subsidiary of the Japanese precision company Nissei.

It makes however only one HRM, the MF-180, which is a finger HRM. To use it, you wear a finger wrap sensor which gets wrapped around your index finger to detect the passage of pulses. A chest belt is not required.

PowerGlove

PowerGlove is made by Impact Sports Technologies, a company founded in 2004.

Just like the Mark of Fitness MF-180, PowerGlove is also a finger HRM. To use it, you wear a finger wrap sensor which gets wrapped around your index finger to detect the passage of pulses. A chest belt is not required.
